This intensive 3-day workshop is designed to help students to produce lively street-scenes by applying the two key principles in street photography – order and gesture. Students will learn how to identify potential photographic situations of daily life in the street, create order in designing the frame with layers of information, and capture interesting gesture to ‘animate’ the scene.

The workshop will be comprised of compositional theory, aspects of story-telling, techniques of street-shooting, the editing process (picture selection) and a chance to walk with me to get a sense of how to overcome the fear or shyness in approaching the subjects.

The series of work produced by students of this workshop will be shown at the festival’s Final Show on 29th of June, 2013.

The workshop is open to all, regardless of your photography skills. The fees is USD200 and for registration, please write to contact@obscurafestival.com
